PRACTITIONER PREVIEW · UPDATED 16 SEPTEMBER 2026
Review, scope and support
Clear sources and visible limits help you decide what is useful. This preview supports preparation; it does not certify a practitioner, approve clinical work or replace supervision.
Who the practice tools support
Country and profession-specific pathways are available for counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists in New Zealand and Australia, including Australian state and territory guidance. They are especially relevant when establishing or growing a private practice. Students and provisional practitioners must follow their training, supervision and registration conditions.
“Therapist” is a broad description, not a substitute for a verified professional title. Shared planning needs do not make qualifications, permitted services or funding eligibility interchangeable.
Current review status
Clinical resource packs: evaluation drafts
All eight packs were prepared with AI assistance for Four Pillars Counselling. Qualified clinical review, independent review and appropriate cultural review remain outstanding. No named clinical author or reviewer approval is claimed. Use fictional examples only; the drafts are not approved for client use.
Practice guidance: source-linked planning support
Official sources were checked on 16 September 2026 for the country and profession pathways. Editorial source checking is not a legal audit, regulatory approval or personalised advice. Some obligations depend on services, client groups, registration conditions, association membership, location and contracts. Confirm the current source before acting.
Financial and insurance tools: discussion aids
The planner calculates estimates from your assumptions and does not calculate tax, levies or retirement contributions. Selecting AUD or NZD does not convert amounts. The insurance brief prepares questions; it does not select a policy, issue cover or confirm that insurance meets a requirement.
Professional and cultural accountability
There is no professional-body endorsement or accredited CPD claim. Reading a resource or checking a box does not automatically count towards a regulator’s or association’s requirements.
No claim of Māori, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander co-design or cultural validation is made. Appropriate consultation and review need to reflect the population and setting where material will be used. Work within competence and use supervision and cultural support.
Report an error or request support
Email the page or pack title, the issue, and an official source if relevant. Please use fictional examples and omit client details. You can also report an accessibility barrier and describe the device or assistive technology involved. We can discuss an alternative way to access the material.
